Andrew has proudly represented New Zealand as an auctioneer and is an integral member of the Harcourts Cooper and Co auctioneering team, leading the “on site” auction business on the North Shore.

Working hard over the last 15 years to hone his craft Andrew is now widely accepted and recognised as one of the country’s leading auctioneers. He has the ability to relax and read a crowd, and is committed to creating an amazing experience for all in attendance. Whether it be a poem or story tailor made to the property or even something as simple as getting the neighbourhood children to ring the auction bell, every action is strategic, designed to create an environment that will put buyers at ease and give sellers the best possible chance of achieving a premium.

Award winning, prepared to go the extra mile, doing what other auctioneers are not prepared to do and having an attitude of gratitude have contributed to Andrew becoming one of the most sought after auctioneers throughout the country. In 2013 he was delighted to win the NZ Real Estate Auctioneer of the Year title and whilst he concedes that competition auctions are different they do test an auctioneers ability to act under supreme pressure and provide a platform to test an auctioneers numerical and legal abilities.

Sam Walmsley is the recent winner of the 2021 REINZ National Auctioneering Championship Open Division. Also winner of the 2015 Harcourts Most Promising Auctioneer of the Year and the 2015 REINZ Auctioneer with the Most Potential 2015, Sam has quickly made a name for himself and customers are raving not only about his likeability but also his enthusiastic, charismatic and successful auctioneering abilities.

Sam began his real estate career in 2008 after completing a Bachelor of Property Degree at Auckland University. He loves the theatre and excitement of auction and the fact that when his hammer comes down ownership changes and the sale is final.He has an ability to read the crowd and create an auction room environment which is inclusive, exciting and encouraging. He views each auction as unique where the same solution does not fit every situation. Sam tailors his approach to the individual circumstances.
